Myrtle (MYRTUS COMMUNIS LEAF EXTRACT)

An evergreen Mediterranean shrub. Known since the time of the ancient Romans, its anti-oxidant and anti-aging properties are exploited by the cosmetics industry. Myrtle leaves have a very varied polyphenolic composition: myricetin derivatives (excellent antioxidants and natural anti-aging agents), gallotannins (which protect collagen) and tannins (vasoconstrictors that protect sensitive skin and its capillaries).
